A conversation about goal setting during a recent Fremont County School District 1 Board of Trustees meeting sparked discussion among officials concerning how Lander schools do, or don’t, operate as one school district. “Every man for himself” is how trustee Joe Palladino put it during the May 19 meeting.

One of the greatest resources Lander has for its history can be found in the place where all the old town founders have gathered: Mount Hope Cemetery. Now, thanks to a grant intended for the preservation of history, that history can be shared with the rest of the world.
